Charlotte is Director of Government Affairs at ZHF Consulting, a subsidiary of Zaino, Hall & Farrin and brings nearly two decades of Capital Square experience in Ohio, from working in both state government and the private sector. She assists clients with furthering their legislative and regulatory interests before the Legislative and Executive branches of state and local government. Charlotte's experience and background enables her to engage policy makers on a broad range of topics, including such areas as budget matters, energy and environmental issues, and tax policy.
Charlotte most recently was the Director of Energy & Environmental Policy for the Ohio Chamber of Commerce. In this role, she helped guide development of the Chamber's policy agenda and worked with businesses to advance that agenda with the General Assembly and Kasich Administration. Charlotte's other private industry experience includes serving three years as a government affairs specialist for one of the nation's largest telecom companies, advising the company on both regulatory and political issues.
Before arriving at the Ohio Chamber, Charlotte served as Legislative Liaison for the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency. At Ohio EPA, she gained hands-on experience and knowledge of Ohio's budget process, ushering two biennial budgets through the legislative process. Charlotte also worked in the Ohio House of Representatives as an aide, including serving as the Senior Legislative Aide to the then House Minority Leader.
She also served as Campaign Coordinator for a U.S. Senate campaign in Vermont and as Assistant Finance Director for a U.S. Congressman campaign in Massachusetts.
